Olympia macht aber langfristig nicht alle Sportarten gleich interessant: Schwimmen (Rang 3, olympisch seit 1896) und Turnen (Rang 7, seit 1896) sind mit Olympia popul\u00e4r, w\u00e4hrend andere olympische Kernsportarten dagegen deutlich abfallen, wie etwa Fechten (Rang 19, seit 1896), Segeln (Rang 27, seit 1908) und Ringen (Rang 31, seit 1904). Dies zeigt eine aktuelle Analyse aus dem SPORTHEADS Fanmonitor (n=2.060, repr\u00e4sentativ Deutschland, Alter: 14-69 Jahre, CAWI, Interesse an Sportart Top-3-Box auf Skala 1-5 (\u201egar nicht interessant\u201c bis \u201esehr interessant\u201c).<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In unserer Reihe \u201eRoad to Tokyo 2020\u201c analysieren wir bis Ende 2019 alle olympischen Sportarten. Zum Start dieser Reihe vergleichen wir die 34 Sportarten nach deren Bedeutung als Teil von Olympia (Teil 2: Rang 18-34).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Die mediale Kraft der Marke Olympia wirkt \u2013 aber wohl vor allem langfristig. Die 2016 neu aufgenommene Sportart Rugby profitiert zumindest bei uns in Deutschland von dem Status als olympische Sportart (+5 Prozentpunkte im Vergleich ohne Olympia), schafft es aber in unserem Ranking bisher nur auf Rang 26. Die ebenfalls 2016 eingef\u00fchrte Sportart Golf verbleibt ohne nennenswerten Olympia-Effekt (+1 Prozentpunkt) auf seinem ohnehin eher niedrigen Niveau und damit auf Rang 33. Alle in Tokyo 2020 neuen olympischen Sportarten befinden sich ab Rang 25 im unteren Drittel des aktuellen Rankings.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Aber auch Olympia kann wohl nur eine mediale \u201eAnschubfinanzierung\u201c bieten, die aus vielen Sportarten keine Reichweitenriesen, sondern wohl eher sog. \u201eklassische olympische Sportarten\u201c gemacht hat: d.h. eine mittelhohe Attraktivit\u00e4t w\u00e4hrend, aber eben auch nur w\u00e4hrend der Spiele.
